July 2, 2009 The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce has announced its opposition to the Farmworker Omnibus Bill. “This bill if passed will force many farmers in Chautauqua County and throughout Upstate New York out of business,” stated Todd Tranum, President/CEO of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce. “Agriculture is an extremely important component of our region’s economy.
