"Spirit Day"

“Spirit Day” will take place at 11 a.m. at the Barcelona pier. The ceremony is a tribute to deceased Westfield Academy and Central School classmates. Balloons may be purchased in the memory of a student, and, as each name is read, a balloon will be released with the singing of the school song.

Apple Seed Preschool Walk/Run

A 5K run/walk, with proceeds benefiting the Apple Seed Christian Preschool in Westfield, will take place at 9 a.m. at Welch Field in Westfield. Registration for the event is at 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. with a $20 fee. There are also different fees for different distances. Call 753-2219 or e-mail jmmabar@fairpoint.net for further information.

Celebrate Westfield

Celebrate Westfield will take place from 12 to 5 p.m. The day-long event will feature wine tasting, art displays, antique items, musical entertainment, historical displays, food vendors and a farmer’s market.

Westfield Ox Roast

Westfield’s annual Ox Roast will take place at Ottaway Park on Route 5 in Westfield from 12 to 7 p.m. Come enjoy good food, good friends and good times.
