Chautauqua County Commences Comprehensive Planning Initiative
Chautauqua County will soon be embarking on a new county-wide planning initiative designed to articulate a new vision for the region. County Planning Director Bill Daly announced the initiative, called “A New Comprehensive Plan – Making a Difference” last week. The Chautauqua County Comprehensive Plan Task Force has worked throughout the summer to develop a proposed scope for the county-wide comprehensive plan, establish a process for the plan’s development and a strategy for its completion.
A discussion paper, which sets out a proposed work plan and schedule for the new comprehensive plan, is available for public review on the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency’s website (www.ccida.com). The discussion paper proposes a 20-month timeline for developing the new comprehensive plan.
