Granny's Greetings
Well now, Hot-Diggety Dog, if it isn’t yet another gorgeous day! Wow…what a glorious summer we are enjoying again this year. “We are being spoiled rotten”, as they used to say. No wonder the weather is renowned as the most talked about subject in the world. Daily, that is. I agree. I personally like it better when someone greets me with “Isn’t this a great day?” rather than “Hi…how are ya?” simply because no one wants to hear me if I tell the truth, or they simply don’t have time to stop and listen to my answer. I don’t wish to lie and say, “Just fine, and how are you?” So who wants to hear of another person’s health issues every time you greet one another? Forget it. Just say a cheerful “Hello” and be done with it. Now ain’t life sweet and simple?
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their parties. Good for typing practice and boy oh boy do I ever need it. If you don’t think so just ask my editor. Hopefully I can stay on the good side of him
Oh, The Weather Outside Was Frightful...
Remember that song, “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow”?
Okay, it didn’t snow, but it was frightful.
When I arrived at the clubhouse at Pinehurst last Thursday, none of the retirees were there. So I sat and waited.
