North Harmony Seniors Hold Meeting

The North Harmony Senior Citizens met April 21 in the Stow Clubhouse with 47 present. The committee for the tureen dinner was Izetta Ayling, Josephine Spas, Payt Baker and Marian Hull. Joyce Warner furnished the birthday cake honoring Emogene Saulsgier, Pat Baker, Rita Lescynski, Josephine Spas, Stan Gurdak, Dan Kelly and Bill de la Cerda. Mr. de le Cerda and his wife Marcia were welcomed as guests.

Roger Healey asked the blessing and President Steve Saulsgiver led the flag salute.

Janelle Sluga, Service Coordinator for Heritage Senior Life Matters, presented an informative program on services available to senior citizens.

Kathy and Dan Kelly will present a program on their trip to Ireland at the June meeting. Next month is the clubs annual auction. Members are encouraged to bring their “worldly goods” and remember that one man’s junk is another man’s treasure”. Meeting date is May 19th.

Joyce Warner gave the secretary’s report and Mac McNeil gave treasurer Anita Ferry’s report. Both were approved.

Committee chairmen Rita Lescynski, Pat Saulsgiver, Izetta Ayling, Kathy Silzle and Art Thomas gave their reports.

Fun time at the clubhouse was discussed. It was decided to meet the first Monday of each month from 9 a.m. to ?? and the last Monday of the month from 6 p.m. until ?? This will begin April 28th at 6 p.m.

The hosts and hostesses for the May 19th meeting are Eleanor and Everett King, Barb and Roger Healey, Myrtle Skiba and June Seiberg. Mrs. King will provide the birthday cake.

Prize winners were Ellie McNeil and Linc Fisher. The candy winner was Bill de la Cerda.

Roger Healey closed the meeting with prayer.
