Letters to the editor

July 13, 2016
Westfield Republican

Dear Editor:

As a member of the Westfield/Mayville Rotary Club, I drove to the July 5 meeting, which is noon time, in my Mustang with the top up. Meeting over: Get into car, buckle up and put the top down; drove to and parked in front of the Westfield Memorial Hospital. There were no other cars parked there. I got out of my car, picked up my purse and entered the hospital for a meeting. About 45 minutes later, I headed for my car, entered and drove home to Mayville. Pulled into the garage, picked up my purse and, VOILA!, no small black bag in which I place my camera and, in the outside pocket, a tablet on which I take notes of Rotary guests talks and other important papers. In the time between 1:40 and 43.6 minutes I was inside WMH, someone stole the small black bag.

Message to the thief: Please return the papers, tablet and small black bag. It would be great to get back my camera, but then it wouldn't be worth you stealing it in the first place. So, keep the camera; I need the notes to write a press release for the newspapers. Leave the notes at the entry to the hospital.
