The last meeting of the North Harmony Senior Citizens, Inc. brought 61 members and 1 guest out to the monthly smorgasbord dinner with delicious desserts. Sue Harper, Charles and Dorothy Krause and Steve and Loretta Saulsgiver were the hosts. JoAnn Bennett was introduced as a new member. This brought the club total to 141 members.
Paula Czubaj, Joyce Warner, Anita Lozier, Regina Weatherbee and Joan Peacock, as birthday celebrants, were presented a cake made by Susan Holtz. They were serenaded with a "Happy Birthday" Sing a Long.
Steve Saulsgiver administered the Oath of Office to: Earl Ferry, President; Sally Carlson, First Vice President; Hal Wiggers, Second Vice President; Norm Czubaj, Secretary; Joyce Warner, Assistant Secretary, Anita Ferry, Treasurer and Karen Brookes, Assistant Treasurer.
President Ferry read a document entitled "What It Takes to Be a Board Member". He elaborated on his feelings regarding this matter to the members.
Roll Call, Secretary Minutes and Treasurer's Report were presented and approved.
President Ferry reviewed the Annual Expense and Revenue Financial Report.
Steve Saulsgiver presented the final details on the Cincinnati trip in May. Loretta Saulsgiver informed the group of the February Book sale on 2/2-3-4/2017. Set up day will be 2/1/2017.
Al LaFredo, club member and member of Ashville Fire Department, informed the group about calling the Fire department to pump out basements. He said that there was no charge by the fire department for this service.
President Ferry informed the members that if they had any ideas for fund raising projects, that they should see him. Due to the passing of Carol Bergman, program chairperson, President Ferry informed the group that Chuck and Delores Ellis volunteered to be Program Entertainment Chairpersons.
Next meeting will be held on Feb. 20 at 6PM, at the Senior Center on Stow Road, in Stow, New York.
